network cable managementProblem

Network Adapater-Broadcom 570 integrated ethernet controller

Steps tried so far

1.tried a different cable(the same cable works on the different system)
2 Uninstalled and reinstalled the hardware and drivers
3.Updated the drivers
4.Ran Broadcom diagnostics says pass for all
5.Changed the duplex settings and tried
6.Checked the power management
7.Checnetwork cable managementked Bios
8.tried all the above in safe mode with networking mode as well

After all the above steps I still cant figure out the problem so if any one who can give some certain steps apart from the above to resolve the issue would be very helpful.
1 check that the line is actually plugged into a phone socket!
2 check all the other wires!
then do to network cable managementcontrol pannel Network Connections disable all, then enable all of them, and see what happens.
* try putting this program on all your computers it will sete a network up for you

i was gonna give the same answer as insane mad maniak, my problem was i'd knocked the phone socket while hoovering and it had come unplugged! good luck.
